Can you recommend moving truck rentals?
My boyfriend and I will be moving from Seattle WA to Des Moines IA in May and considering our moving options. Neither of us will have a vehicle so we want to drive a U-Haul truck or equivalent. We’ll have about 1 BR apt. worth of stuff. Consdering U-Haul but wonder what’s cheaper out there.
I really liked Penske. We rented a truck from them to move a 1br apt, and even their short truck had a power-liftgate. Was really useful for heavy items that dont roll well.
Could do Ryder also.
Is it legal to do this?
To haul your suv in the back of a rented u-haul or penske truck? we are moving from Nashville, TN to Dothan, AL and my husband seems to think that if we rent a 26′ truck and pack it with our belongings that we are legally allowed to drive our SUV into the left over space in the back of the rental truck. I don’t think it is legal or safe but we are arguing over it anyway and he seems to think that it is a great idea! Could someone please stop our argument? Thanks
As long as you do not exceed the weight limits of the truck, and the vehicle is secured, there is no law prohibiting it.
Need to move some furniture 394 miles, any suggestions on making it easy on the budget?
All I have to move are one king sized mattress that comes with two twin box springs and a frame along with an antique dresser. Budget Rental and U-Haul estimate the move at around $400, which I can buy a truck to scrap later for. Pods don’t service the area, which is in a very remote location. I find all this ridiculous. I hope you guys have better ideas!!
Greyhound… seriously…. it’s the cheapest way to send anything big like that.
