Using a UHaul as a rental car. Good or bad idea?

I’m going to a 2-day tournament held at this hotel that’s booked full and there are no other hotels nearby. So I need transportation there and a way to spend the night and I’m considering a U-haul truck lol. Good idea? Bad idea? Keep in mind I’m a poor college student who’s not yet old enough to actually rent a car, and I can’t find a friend to lend me their car for a couple days.

U hauls often have a low base rate but then want to add on insurance and a high per mile fee. Try Enterprise. I think that you will be able to get a car for about $40 per day with unlimited mileage.

Does anyone know or have an u-haul, budget or penske truck rental coupon?

I’m going to be moving from GA to FL, and I tried to find coupons online but I wasn’t able to find it. I was wondering if someone knows where to find or have some.

Thank you,
Pedro

Moving Van/Truck Rental – Ontario To BC?

I am moving from Niagara, Ontario to Vancouver, BC in the spring. I was looking at the U-Haul website and it will cost about 2500 to rent a truck to move out there. Does anyone have any other ideas for me that I can transport my stuff out there in a cheaper way?

call some trucking companies, they may have some space at the rear of a trailer they would like to fill out and give you a good deal. if they say no don’t be afraid to ask who they might recommend and if you put something together just make sure you have it figured out at the other end, either someone there to pick it up or you pick up by a certain date. and ask how they would like you to pack it. if they give you a good deal they will not want it hanging around on their dock and in their way. good luck. don’t forget to calculate the fuel or is that included in the $2500, start with transborder logistics http://www.tliltd.com/ they should be able to help,

What's the cheapest rental truck company to move across country such as U-haul, Ryder or another company?
